Projects

Ecophysics Lab is currently working on three major projects. Together, these projects aim to understand how the co-evolution of flower-hummingbirds has led these small birds to develop unique traits that have been little studied or unknown.

We invite you to browse through each of these projects to learn more about the research carried out in our lab.

We’re utilizing new and established 3D digitization techniques and pushing their limits to help us understand these tiny birds.

With the tight coevolution of plants and their hummingbird pollinators, we investigate the impact that featu- res of a flower have on the hummingbird flight and metabolism.

Given early research about hummingbird vision, we investigate how hummingbirds see other hummingbirds using full spectrum cameras and specialized analyses.
